This article explains how to configure your contact monitoring profile and settings. To learn more about how to use contact monitoring to monitor important sales leads in the news and on social media, read our contact monitoring guide.
Configuring your contact monitoring settings lets RocketBolt show you useful public news and information about your contacts while filtering out any unrelated information you don’t need to see.
Setup Your Company Profile

Answer the profile questions about your company and its market. Your answers help RocketBolt understand key aspects of your business it will use to identify public news and social media postings related to your sales leads that will be useful to anyone in your sales organization.
For example, if your organization sells office furniture, and a lead you’re monitoring using RocketBolt’s contact monitoring service tweets that she’s looking for a new desk, RocketBolt will notify your team instantly.
NOTE: Only account administrators will be prompted to complete the company profile.
Setup Your Personal Profile
Personal profile questionnaire from contact monitoring setup process.
Complete the personal profile form to help RocketBolt understand your individual background and interests. RocketBolt uses this information to identify news and social media mentions that are helpful during the rapport-building phase of a sales process.
Returning to the office furniture example above, while the company you work for might only be interested in selling desks, if you’re an avid runner and one of your leads tweets about running a marathon, you’ll want to know that, too. RocketBolt can notify you individually about a lead’s personally relevant activities while not showing that information to other members of your team for whom it wouldn't be relevant.
Notice how the personal profile form requests details about the college you attended and your favorite sports teams. These kinds of personal details help RocketBolt identify the large range of opportunities for you to engage with sales leads, so the more information you provide, the more opportunities RocketBolt will find.
Editing Your Profiles
Because people and companies are constantly evolving, we encourage all users to update their profiles at least once every three months.
To update your profiles, visit the contact monitoring page in your account settings. Once there, you’ll see that your responses to the profile forms were converted into keyword “tag clouds.” Remove any keywords that are no longer relevant, or add new keywords.
